Workplace Safety Solutions Case Study:
Type of Client: Fortune 500, Internationally Based Glass Manufacturing Client
Problem: The client needed safety oversight to verify that the 500+ employees on sight were following all the local and federal regulations to minimize recordable worker injuries. Challenges included employees not following rules and regulations. Injuries were considered "acceptable" and were in danger of becoming part of a typical daily task.
The client, while initially apprehensive to modify and implement changes to a long standing safety protocol, quickly felt at ease with the SCT team of safety professionals. SCT listened to the client's concerns about productivity interruption, and both developed and implemented a process together with the client, ensuring compliance to safety rules and regulations without negatively effecting the client's productivity or bottom line. Employees are now trained and experienced in recognizing workplace hazards and are self-sustaining and knowledgeable on how to react to unexpected safety issues.
Results: The employer's Experience Modification Rate (EMR) went from 1.8 down to 0.5 in a two year time period.
