Leading safety expert Rob Medlock joined SCT staff as Vice President
Former OSHA Area Director Rob Medlock Joins SCT Staff Safety Controls Technology is pleased to announce that former Cleveland OSHA Area Director Rob Medlock has joined the SCT team as Vice President. Mr. Medlock, who joined SCT in February, brings with him over 33 years of experience as an OSHA employee, with 20 years as the Cleveland OSHA Area Director. During his tenure as Area Director, Mr. Medlock led his office in conducting over 17,000 inspections that included 40 significant cases. Under his guidance, The Cleveland Area Office became one of the largest and most successful Area Offices in OSHA. In Cleveland, Mr. Medlock established the first OSHA Construction Team to better understand and respond to the needs of the industry. He implemented several OSHA Emphasis Programs including one on Construction Fall Hazards which was adopted nationwide by OSHA. This program generated over 5,000 fall hazard inspections and helped reduce fall related fatalities in Northeastern Ohio. With an extensive list of awards and recognitions from his peers, Mr. Medlock has been a recipient of the "OSHA Champion of the Year Award" and the "Distinguished Career Service Award." Additionally, his offices have twice received the "Outstanding Office of the Year Award" in Region V.
